1. Selectively renovate Crater Lake Lodge into a modern, two-story, low-profile structure.
2. Remove Crater Lake Lodge from the rim.
3. Relocate overnight lodging facilities to Munson Valley.
D. Munson Valley
1. Selective relocation of Munson Valley development
a. Relocate administrative and residential facilities to panhandle area near the south entrance.
b. Split maintenance and emergency facilities and operations with the center of activity remaining at Munson Valley and a smaller operation at the new administrative site.
c. Phase out nonessential structures at Munson Valley.
d. Retain existing administrative building for other possible uses (see Alternative G.2. for Visitor Orientation/Interpretive Facility).
e. Retain concessioner gas station.
2. Add visitor service facilities to Munson Valley complex. Add a concession-operated coffee shop/motel complex by either converting existing structures or constructing additional facilities.
E. Trailer/Recreation Vehicle Campground Development
1. Construct a 350-Site Trailer/Recreational-Vehicle Campground proximal to the existing Mazama unit
a. Operate campground under either Park Service or concession management.
