Obituary: Howard ‘Bud’ Hittenrauch

Howard “Bud” Raymond Hittenrauch, 71, North Albany, died Aug. 7, 2002, of natural causes at Crater Lake National Park.
Cremation will be by Eternal Hills Crematory. Eternal Hills Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hittenrauch was born June 29, 1931, in Marion, Ohio, to Asa and Mary Jeanette (Todd) Hildreth.
He attended college for four years and served in Germany while in the Army in the early 1950s.
He also worked for the U.S. Forest Service.
Prior to moving to North Albany in 1990, he lived in Durango, Colo.
Among his interests were shooting firearms, crabbing, camping, traveling, especially to Las Vegas, politics, classical literature, and his rose garden.
Mr. Hittenrauch was a member of National Rifle Association, Boy Scouts of America, for which he served as a leader, and Society of American Foresters.
Survivors include his wife Marian Hittenrauch of North Albany; daughter and son-in-law Kathryn and Gerald Delie of Denver; daughter Laura Hittenrauch of Spanaway, Wash.; son and daughter-in-law Eric and Judy Hittenrauch of Gurdon, Ark.; grandchildren Rusty, Jason, Elizabeth and Brian; and brother Todd Hildreth of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Betty Densmore and Beverly Manthei.
