CRATER LAKE, Ore. — Just in time for the holidays, Pendleton Woolen Mills has developed an exclusive online offer that allows you to purchase one of their renowned national park blankets and make a donation to the Crater Lake National Park Trust at the same time.
Through a special partnership with Pendleton Woolen Mills, when you purchase any Pendleton national park blanket through the Trust’s website: www.nationalparks.org/holiday/crater, half of the purchase price will be donated to the Crater Lake National Park Trust to support their non-profit educational programs.
“This online promotion not only benefits the Trust, but it offers the public a great opportunity for a memorable and unique gift for family and friends while supporting Crater Lake,” states Robert Christnacht, pendleton blanket division manager.
Since the early 1900s, Pendleton Woolen Mills has honored America’s greatest national treasures with a collection of distinctive park blankets. Pendleton offers seven national park blankets, each with a distinctive design, which emphasizes the unique features of the park.
Although there is no time limit on the blanket offer, Executive Director of the Crater Lake National Park Trust Sandra Claypool adds that online orders must be placed by December 8th if they are to arrive by Christmas. Claypool reiterated that for the blanket purchase to credit the Trust they must be made online via the Trust’s website: www.nationalparks.org/holiday/crater.
The Crater Lake National Park Trust, a committee of the National Park Foundation, was established in 2002 following the Crater Lake Centennial. The Trust is the park’s private philanthropic partner that raises funds for educational, recreational, and scientific programs. It is managed by an Oregon-based Board of Trustees.
