Explanatory Narrative: The Watchman Lookout Station is entered in the National Register, however, the historic trail to the building is not documented as part of the nomination. Watchman Observation Station and Watchman Trail’s relationship to Rim Drive is is explained within this CLI. It is the recommendation of this report that Watchman Trail cultural landscape be included within the boundaries of the Watchman Observation Station district and included as a component landscape of Rim Drive.
