The original print is located in the Crater Lake Institute’s collection of historical artifacts. The back of the print (hand-writing) has a description that reads, “Thomson – Chas. Goff”. The date, “JAN 20 1929” is printed on the back. An attached piece of paper has a printed description that reads, “Colonel Charles Goff Thomson, recently appointed superintendent of Yosemite National Park. The photograph was taken at Crater Lake park where he formerly was superintendent. Thomson spent many years in the Phillipines. He was a colonel in the A.E.F. during the world war.
