Crater Lake National Park Centennial Oral Histories
C. Waldron, 1962
During the summer of 1962, Harvey M. Waldron (Sophomore from University of Idaho) ended up with a job at the boat launch. Corrinn C. Mersdorf from the University of Oregon (lived in Eugene, OR) also landed a job at the gift shot. Corrinn had not intended to work at the park – had just went to the job interview with 2 friends at school and ended up receiving a job offer also.
Anyway – Harv and Corrinn became friends during the summer and continued to write to one another whey they returned to school in the fall. As time went on, one thing led to another and they were married the weekend after they both graduated from their two universities in 1965.
Now, 37 years later, they are still married with three grown children and two fantastic grandchildren.
